So I haven’t modelled in around 2 years, wanna get back into it and model my own car, but thought I’d practice on this first, still a work in progress, just gonna post up a topic to keep me motivated.
Obviously a while from being finished.

Looks cool, excited to see the finished version.
Gonna look at closing up the gaps now, current method has some problems.
looks amazing! Wondering how you do these things in C4d…
If only it was real…
I made one based off your car as well, I still need to brush up on the edges though:
Looks great so far, keep it up.
Take a cube and cut and refine the edges, basically how I did this

Fantastic work
Looks great, Charlie. Are you still using c4d?
Once you’ve done your VXR you need to model my motorbike… as practice… for you…

Ah yeah I knew you either used C4D or 3DS Max. This is really nice, though. Good job on it.
Modelled some alloys, tyres are next:
Why are there so many faces on the spokes? Just out of interest.
Edge consistency, prevent n-gons (faces with more than 4 edges), which would ultimately improve the rendering quality amongst other things.
You can see in the image below, those 4 edges in the middle of the spoke lead down to create a hole for the nut. If I didn’t have them the front face of the spoke would be just a giant n-gon which would not smooth very nicely.
Another way to describe it is good polygon flow.
Ah, that makes sense. It looks great, good job so far.
This one is put on hold for now, got busy at work and it turns out I’m moving into a new room at home so I’ve started designing some furniture
would not want to sleep on that blanket
Looks solid, I had a dream last night that I wanted to model a lamborghini gallardo again
probably won’t ever get around to it though
