Help building new PC

Ok im a complete hardware retard, just wondering if anyone can help me find a few last pieces and just have a glance over to makesure i havent fucked up w/ some of the stuff.

So I could do with some help finding a PSU, Any cooling parts etc & a cheap ATX case (around £40 or less i guess, don’t give a fuck about case that much)

Most of my peripherals are just cheap crap. I’m not a gamer so I didn’t go for some hightech gfx card, but I do want to house my 2 Dell U2711’s in 2560 x 1440 via displayport. Hence why I bought 2xGFX cards. Is this ok? Dual displayport cards were either ridic shit or ridic expensive.

So yeah, Case/PSU/Cooling/Maybe cables? Anything else.

Appreciate it thanks.

Cooler:

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 - Affordable and great cooling. (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-035-AR)

Corsair H80/H100 - Awesome cooling but more expensive. (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-008-CS)

PSU: Antec/Corsair/SeaSonic - I’d probably go for a 750W and modular if its within your budget.

Case: Sometimes its worth spending a bit more just for better cooling options/cable management but for that price range I have still done pretty nice builds using these:

I say that about cases because with that much power for a none gaming rig I assume you’re going to be doing something that will run it hot, in which case a few decent case fans might be a worthy investment.

Final note: Buy from Overclockers/eBuyer/Dabs/Scan look for best price vs deliver options as I tend to find them all fairly competitive.

Thanks alot Greeny big help.

note about overclockers is they’re regarded as having really, REALLY bad customer service

Wasn’t that before they switched owners or something? I’ve ordered a lot of stuff from them in the past 2 years or so and it’s been brilliant, always quick delivery, and I once sent back a dead hard drive and they replaced it ASAP no problem at all.

Why are you buying a laptop hard drive?..

I don’t know if any one else noticed that but yeah.

Best price:performance ratio cooler (For a respectable price)

It’s an SSD…

I like how you called the SSD an HDD, do you know what HDD stands for? Hard Disk Drive, do you know what SSD stands for? Solid State Drive. Lol.

On a side note, I remember reading somewhere that samsung made really shitty SSDs, or it could have been really really great SSDs. It was one of the extremes anyway, just a thought.

Anyway thx to everyone tht helped much appreciated. Maybe now I can run my databases without PC epic lagging.

All I know is I am always going to refer to them as hard drives, regardless of if it is a solid state or hard disk. If it is physical and isn’t liquid and is a storage drive, then it is a hard drive to me.

it is a hard drive, it’s just not a hard disk drive. A soft drive would be something like a RAM disk.

I’ll invent a new word so HDD can remain. High Density Drive. Problem solved niggahs.

32gb of ram

like is that even fucking necessary

you can buy 2 fleshlights if you stuck to 8gb.

Maybe he wants to run lots of VMs, he mentioned databases so who knows what he could be doing. 32gb is often overkill but ram is cheap as shit.

So, floppy drives?

Due to the brand shop high Leggings price let most women flinch, so most of the girls turn to those fake leggings, but they worry about leggings quality is very poor, so how to choose those affordable quality good Leggings And Tights is also need some skills. The best way is to make contrast some shop around.

32gb defo overkill but the databases i use mug memory, overkill ye but w/e anyway

pc is great, only thing i think is a little annoying is the case, went a lil overkill on that and its massive

These guys aren’t talking shit… I have 16gb ram and I never use more than a quarter of it.

I’ve got 16GB of ram, yes it’s a lot to actually have but that was the lowest memory kit available in quad channel at the speed that I wanted, so…
