I want to build a decent computer for playing games such as league of legends, runescape, and the likes. The only problem is I’m hard pressed for cash right now and I will be for a while. I was hoping you guys could point me in the direction of a decent computer that I could build on in the future.
If I wasn’t clear I’m looking for either a list of parts to buy for my own build or alternatively a pre-built computer that I could add better parts to in the future.
Budget ~500 dollars.
I reckon you can put together a nice custom build for $500 that certainly will have no trouble running those games.

also the motherboard is sata iii(6gb/s) so you’ll need a sata iii harddrive rather than a sata ii(3gb/s)
Sata 3 is backwards compatible with sata 2 and 1 just like sata 2 is with sata 1 isn’t it? I just picked the cheapest 1TB non-western digital hard drive I saw, feel free to grab any or use your existing.

my bad, sata ii and sata iii are backwards/forwards compatible, the last time I checked I only saw a few rather confusing yahoo answers on google
I’m almost positive everything is compatible. 
The only thing I didn’t check out really well is the case/psu, make sure it is 24-pin ATX.

Why does the second build have 2 motherboards?
I was trying to decide between the two, but, despite my love for MSI, the ASUS mobo is the one I went with…
Is this still a viable build? Could I run league at 60 fps with this?

You’ll probably get more power for the same money now, however, given that it is like 2 years later.
Looking like I’m going to be building this. I’ve been reading up on it and everyone seems to think it needs a better video card. Does anyone have a suggestion on a better video card?
