[RESOLVED - ACCEPTED] "Private Server Client Hacking" to "Client Development"

no one really “hacks” it any more, it’s more about developing it

The act of engaging in activities (such as programming or other media[4]) in a spirit of playfulness and exploration is termed hacking. However the defining characteristic of a hacker is not the activities performed themselves (e.g. programming), but the manner in which it is done: Hacking entails some form of excellence, for example exploring the limits of what is possible,[5] thereby doing something exciting and meaningful.

Technically speaking I’d still say people “hack” the client.

Can we drop the “Private Server” part, at least. We already know what it’s for…

I feel like the section title confuses a few people new to the community.
(Not many people seem to read descriptions, hell some ignore the titles and post where ever).

This has subtly annoyed me for years, I never bothered posting anything about it but I’m sure renaming the board is something that Tom or MITB would have no problem doing. Personally I think “RS Client Hacking” would do nicely. A ‘Private Server Client’ is just a modified RS client that connects to a server. “Private Server” doesn’t belong in this boards name IMO.

Better late than never, done.
