RSPS Family Tree (History Map)

Hello veterans of moparscape. I would like to first thank everyone for voting me into this position, it’s been a long road to accomplishment.

More importantly though, I would like to ask a favor from all of you. As some of you know from IRC, I’ve put together a small “family tree” of Runescape Private Server history. I’ve asked a few of you for some information, but unfortunately have not come to completing it all the way.

I’m hoping that by providing a background to all current sources out at the moment, the air might clear a bit pertaining to format and relevance in most of the sections. I’ve also noticed that things are looking better for the community, so this wouldn’t be a bad time to introduce the idea.

I’ve provided what I know so far in the following image. If you have any further “basic” documentation or “mainstream” sources that could be added to improve the complexity of the tree, it would be much appreciated.

hmm i wouldn’t consider this accurate.

Also I wouldn’t waste my time trying to track down the correct information all the forums that have delt with private servers have been reset once if not more.

The order of the first 3 is correct, iirc. Couple of names missing though. Project 16 belongs somewhere near Cheezscape.

To be honest, it’s a waste of time – I don’t think anyone really cares (most people just feign a level of interest to be accepted).

I believe Wolf made Project 16.

Don’t forget about the other root servers: rs2dv, Hyperion, rs377d, rs2hd, etc.
This is a very very limited scope of a tree, these are all 317 based (and focus on the first wL base) yet we have 317, 377, 459, 474, 503, 508, 525, and 562 servers out now in the mainstream (and lots of others) and many of them are not wL based.

And don’t worry, I was going to add the other scratch bases such Hyperion, rs2dv, and so-forth.

In the end the relationship between them all is so blurred as they all c+ped the same tutorials, ripped stuff from other servers, etc.

I’d be sincerely interested in a 508 history map, most people from here know that’s what I like :stuck_out_tongue:
