Why is putting vectors over some punk-rocker suddenly a thing now?

Unfortunately, runewing’s did it incorrectly as well. Too many layers for something that could be 3 layers (background vector, render, text)

I make a shitload of layers so I can easily go back and edit some of the things if I want to. As you can see, a lot of them aren’t visible.

The increased level of layers; the more neat it is. The easier you can edit anything you need to without accidentally annihilating something you don’t want to. There’s no “incorrect” way of doing the layers.

There’s an easier way to get the effect he was going for without the need for duplicate layers. Yeah, I was incorrect in saying it was the correct way, but there is definitely an easier way. There are tools in photoshop (even in CS2 and above) that can do exactly as I describe. Background vector, render, and text.

Yes, SOTW badge sounds nice. Although, I’m sure it’s a hassle for the admins to fiddle with that every week.
