Alright after having 3 tamed parasaur a killed shortly after taking them. How exactly would I go about leveling them up once I have one tamed? I only have level 4-5 around me. Not many Dino’s at all for me to try a Dilo yet.

Just bought this game last night and played it with two other friends for the first time.

I’m not sure what is required as a build to run this game on anything higher than low settings, because even medium distance rendering was causing my fps to drop pretty badly, and I’m able to run games like Battlefield 3 on at least High easily. From what I’ve researched, this exact reason is also why there is the annoying 200m rule, in order to lessen down the work on the host PC. I was the host and trying to build my house, but my friends were hunting and trying to tame animals, mainly dodos. However our beach didn’t have any dodos right next to it, and by the time my friends found some, they were too far away from me and one of us had to move.

There were some dry parts of the game - mostly just ALWAYS having to gather wood, fiber, and thatch. We had our non-dedicated server on 2.0 for resources and it was still annoying.

Other than that, I thought it was a lot of fun. I could see it get boring much faster in single-player. We got to around level 14 and had some pretty funny moments, like pissing off a Carnotaurus by accident and having it chase us back to our house which was half destroyed, until we respawned enough times to knock it unconscious and then kill it. Jokes about defecation. Sacrificing George the Dodo to Megaladon. A bug where a Triceratops was being hit by our spiked wooden wall, died, and then was launched about 100 feet in the air.

Past the graphical annoyances, the game was fun, and I liked the leveling system. There are a lot of cool elements to the game even in the early stages. I would definitely recommend trying to play with a couple of friends if you haven’t tried this yet.
