The spikes coming from the actual shell aren’t as realistic looking as the shell itself, you should maybe work on them a bit :). Other than that, good job.

Stop the spikes from casting shadows? wouldnt that create a lack of realism?

Not sure if it’s me or what, but it appears as though the shell and the spikes are using two different light sources.

I’m honestly thinking about ditching the spikes and changing the color altogether, as I can’t get them to look nicely under any lighting situation. Also, it’s missing the wings, so it wouldn’t even be complete regardless.

It looks like you used the spray can tool and sprayed the blue on (not in a bad way) looks good
