Computer Wont Boot Past Logo

This computer that I am working on will not boot past the windows logo I’ll post some of the things that I have attempted to do…

Attempted:
fixmbr [Fix the boot sector]
chkdsk /r
cd system32 userinir.exe wsaupdater.exe
Reformat [Computer reformats then passes windows logo then freezes.]

I have no fucking clue what is wrong with it! It is pissing me off anyone got any solutions?

Did you boot into safe mode?

Also, I don’t think you reformatted it, or it wouldn’t have windows on it at all?

No I did I deleted the current os then reformatted it. Still won’t boot.

How would booting it into safe mode help?

Booting into safe mode will tell you if it will boot if you use safe mode. It also might tell you some errors you need to know to fix.

So you reformatted and re-installed windows from scratch and it still won’t boot?

how does one ‘delete’ his OS?

alt + f4

does a live cd work?

affirmative…

Well when you delete the partition it kinda deletes the files

Then, like Ollie said, you need to try to boot a Linux live-cd, you probably have some hardware issues.

How would i get a linux live-cd?

You’re on a computer right now, aren’t you? Just go to the website of any Linux distro (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, etc) and download the live-cd image. Then burn that image on a cd, and boot from cd.

hdd borked?

Im on my computer not the one im trying to repair.

I don’t think so the hdd isn’t making any weird noises for it to be broken.

Doesn’t mean you can’t follow the steps I told you.

Yes, do what R.I.P RSC said.
