Crappy Gamecube Controller
Look’s good.
It’s lacking a lot of detail that, in all honesty, I will not be adding out of sheer laziness.
I just checked and mine was not that shiny lol
or that lumpy and disproportionate, it was like a 45 minute job. You can also notice there’s no room for hands to actually old it.
I don’t understand. Why model it if you aren’t going to do it right?
You almost have rendering down, you just need a bit more practice with materials. Why ruin it? If something is wrong its instantly noticeable and makes the image unrealistic in a split second.
Heres a spoon I made in C4D 3 years ago:

I tried to make the spoon as realistically shaped as possible. In the end the believability adds up. Obviously it was more of a material practice because I chose a simple object, but I made sure it was an object I could easily nail so I could gauge the quality accurately.
I used to have a Nintendo DS I modeled yearsss back when I was posting in the MITB graphics section. It looked real as hell and everything was spot on. Youll find you appreciate your models better when you work on every single detail, in the end it all adds up and quality is amazing.
Actually heres another one: http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/9906/shapesoncouchyn7.jpg That I composited a c4d rendering into a real photo to really test my materials. Heres the thread for shits and giggles: http://www.moparisthebest.com/smf/index.php/topic,311612.msg2484697.html#msg2484697
This was my VERY FIRST C4D render: http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/4165/riches4hg4.png
You’re already starting ahead of me, dont cut yourself short.
Because I’m lazy as hell and lack the motivation to continue or have the attention span to match.
Then model something youre passionate about
If you really want to see everything I went through, look here: http://www.moparisthebest.com/smf/index.php?action=search2 click advanced search, type [c4d] in the search box, and put by user as frell
All the posts with [c4d] in the tag by me are my old stuff… and I mean real old
I’ve lost my passion. I just do what I see now.
