Droid 4?

Still only a rumor, but how many phones is Motorola going to crank out??

Bionic in Sept, RAZR in Nov, and possible Droid 4 in Dec? My god

That would be great, because then it would make the price of a used Droid 3 drop down to where I can get one.

But will it have a keyboard?

In terms of specs, Droid Life report that we can expect: a 4-inch screen (though it's not clear if it's LCD or AMOLED), 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5-row slide out keyboard, 4G LTE, and an 8MP camera.

I’ll probably still just get a used Droid 3 from craigslist/ebay when they come down in price anyway, if I just continually waited for the latest Droid to get cheap enough to buy I’d be stuck with my Droid 1 forever.

Are you looking for a new contract? The D3 is $0.01 from amazon wireless

No, I DON’T want a contract. Hence having to buy a used one cheap.

Ahh that makes a little more sense now :o

Yep, I use http://www.pagepluscellular.com/ for my service. You get identical coverage to verizon (uses verizon’s towers), can use any verizon phone except blackberry, and it is super-cheap with no contracts.

My plan is 1200 minutes, 3000 texts, and 100mb data for $29.95 per month. I only use about 50-100 texts, < 10mb of data, and never go over on minutes.

You can also get unlimited minutes and texts, and 20mb of data for $39.95.

I’d recommend anyone on verizon switch over to it honestly.

edit:
Looks like they now have an unlimited plan with more data:
Unlimited Talk, Unlimited Text/Picture Messages, 500 MB of Data $55/month. Neat.

How can u use under 10mb of data a month? I use about a gb per month

I used 3.6GB of data last month D:

I have DroidWall blocking data from all the apps I don’t need to use 3g, and I use Wifi for most things anyhow.

sorry for the gravedig, but how did you go about transferring your droid to p+? did they do it for you, or was it something you had to go about yourself? i know with sprint and it’s mvno/prepaid divisions, it’s not ‘officially’ possible to move phones around

Page Plus uses verizon’s network, so there is no ‘flashing’ or anything that needs done like you have to do when going to sprint or cricket. You simply call up (or go online) Page Plus and read them your ESN, then they port your number over and your phone is activated in a few minutes. If you want to go back to verizon later (don’t see why you would) nothing stops you. There are now contracts with Page Plus.

Oh, and if you sign up for the $55 plan before the 29th, you get 1GB of data instead of 500mb for a year!

I’m still perfectly happy on the $30 plan.
