Just after some advice on a decent pair of headphones. I mainly only play league of legends/call of duty. Apparently a standalone pair of headphones with a basic boom microphone is the best way to go.
Keep in mind it has to be compatible for xbox 360. Thansks

I have some ad900s and theyre decent headphones, but no mic. No idea about xbox.

Astro Mixamp Pro.

Using the Astro mixamp, I will connect the headset -> mixamp -> xbox/computer.
Which raises another question. I understand with mixamps, for true surround sound you have to feed them Dolby Digital Live audio, and onboard SPDIF doesn’t do that. What would be a good option to get this going? An external soundcard? PCIe?
Recommendations for a brand would be nice, I was looking at the Asus Xonar line
