Help With Photoshop/Cinema 4D

Hello again mopar,

So I just recently aquired the programs “Adobe Photoshop CS6 - and - Cinema 4D” as I want to start getting into graphics. I have used a couple tutorials to make some pieces using C4D, but I haven’t really used Photoshop yet. I just have a simple problem. After I make a piece in C4D and save it, it keeps some black background - so when I try to paste it into photoshop ontop of a layer, it comes out like this:

Could someone please tell me if this is C4D, or photoshop related, and how to ‘fix’ it. Thanks for anyone that helps - will be repping.

Warm Regards,
Tragedy

If it’s the black background you’re worried about, there’s a really cool tool in photoshop called the Magic Wand! Just click the layer and use the magic wand on the black area, then press delete! Simple!

Oh and that text can easily be made in photoshop.

And I believe C4D even has an option to render the background transparent. Check your render settings

The problem he’s getting is in photoshop, depending on the image.

You are rendering it from cinema 4d right? So under your render settings under output there is an option to tick Alpha Channel, do it. Then make sure you render it out as a .png and then import the .png into PhotoShop

Yes, but exporting the image from C4D with the alpha channel will prevent the need for the magic wand, or any other major changes.

Not to mention the magic wand tool leaves little chunks on the side of the edges which makes it look horrible

use global illimunation on c4d or lighten your layer on photoshop

So easy :stuck_out_tongue:
