Hiding rank title
Nah. I never really liked the idea of linking something like that (or rep, for that matter) to a rank. Display the ‘Thanks’ on the profile where rep is, rank would be unrelated.

Though, perhaps it’d be better named something similar to Facebook’s Like button, or Google’s +1. Because much of the talk over on mitb.com is just general discussion, not really much to thank, other than the bit of activity in the RS2 dev sections.
But we can’t abuse “thanks” as much as rep!

EDIT: :expressionless:

if thanks were public (you could see who thanked who on posts) it would probably work
To make the CM-rank more worth, rise the rep requirement and/or set some other requirements like approvals from CM/GM/Admins.

Newty: Time of being here doesn’t mean anything. The argument or idea should stand on its own merits, not the person who made it.

But as pointed out in this thread, why give a shit about ranks? The only ones that matters is Mod/GMod/Admin
No need, CM or no CM people don’t actually do anything RS related on these boards. We don’t even see the “my epenis (updater) is better than yours” threads anymore.

I would love that key if it is still available.

Also, I second this. People should have complete control over what is shown in the sidebar.

Yeah, that’s pretty much it mitb. Maybe a profile option to “hide rank from posts”, but if it’s something you have to hack in I wouldn’t worry too much about it.
