Hk ump .45

Just for correctness, it’s not a scope, it’s a red-dot sight. There are red-dot scopes, but that isn’t one. (it only has one lens)

Anyway, that would be cool to run a CSS or any other server with custom models made by members of the website, I’d do it. Can you make them work in CSS?

no need for custom models.

i should have been more specific, i was thinking of a skin (which is client side)

Oh hey i never showed you guys the finished holographic sight:

Heres the new UMP that i havent had time to texture yet:

Ahhh, looks sexy textured.

BTW I’m still slowly getting to grips with the program I just seem to be a bit too busy with school… and xbox :(.

What program(s) are you using?

Max, I made a blob (L).

The sight needs a red dot in the middle of it, hence the name ‘red dot sight’. :stuck_out_tongue:

Otherwise, it looks perfectly realistic. Great job!

it’s a holographic sight, not a red dot sight

As far as I can tell, they are basically the same. In fact a quick google search revealed many sights marketed as “Holographic Red Dot sight”.

Regardless of which it is, both have a red dot in the center with which to aim by.

um,how long did it take you to make this? and how do you do all the little deatils like the writing? i’ve been having issues with my rendering in 3dsmax-the textures don’t show up and its always dark, and whnever i put a light(or two) in, it makes no difference. Can anyone help?

This specifically took me a few days. The details like the writing were all created with a technique called floating geometry. There were no textures in this scene and the lighting was just 2 simple point lights.

Man, its been a year already since I made this :frowning:
