How do I do this again?

Hi, I sorta wanted to play a bit of minecraft again, however I do not have an account and do not wish to have one. I only play single player. I used to be able to play single player however it looks like the new launcher requires an account. Is there any way to play single player without an account?

I think cracked launchers still work with older versions. But if you want the new content, you have to purchase the game.
