i dont use anything atm but i used to use avg + spybot
none if you’re not a complete fucktard and are the only one using the machine.
It is my machine, however occasionally friends/family will use it.
I quite like bitdefender.
Had AVG Free for awhile but at some point some weird hijacker caught chrome, which it didn’t detect.
Funny thing is, this only happend to chrome, and even after reinstalling it and completely wiping everything it still did that.
Fucking POS.
Common Sense 2012!
I haven’t used a real one since around 08. If you aren’t retarded on the internet you wont have problems.

Microsoft Security Essentials
MSE absolutely kicks ass. Microsoft made the OS so they know more about what shouldn’t be happening than anyone else.
Lol’d at norton.
I manage a network of about 9 computers running Windows XP for a church, and the best one I found for my requirements was F-secure, and I really like it.
Personally I run Kubuntu, so I never use an AV on my computers.
Personally I like Avast!, but I’ve used AVG and others before. Avast! being the best out of the ones I’ve used. Although I’m gonna try MSE cause they make it sound pretty good.
For home computers and businesses with up to 10 PCs just go with MSE. It’s free and it does a pretty good job, coupled with HiJackthis, combofix and MBAM you’re pretty much set if you ever do find an intrusion.
We have F-secure on 9999 pc’s as it is a finnish product and it absolutely sucks
Just installed MSE as a procaution.
Cheers.
I haven’t had any problems with it, it seems like a great product to me, and it’s the only one that let me install the management software for the windows anti-virus on a linux box, I called literally everyone else and f-secure is the only one that can do that.
