Lumberjack

Threw this together in about an hour and a half

Just a comment on social vs nature, you guys know. Any comments? I wasn’t to worried about shadows/color palette, just trying to get the feel of photoshop again. As for the lines, I’m very chicken scratchy in my art. Just how I work. I could work cleanly, it would just be all color and no outlines. I needed outlines for this, as it didn’t look put together without them.

I’m kind of interested in how there is blood on the axe. :stuck_out_tongue:
I’d add a bit more emphasis to the little things, like a line on (our perspective) left foot between his ankle and foot to show the bend, some tree stumps, and perhaps some roots extending out from the tree. Other than that, looks good.

The tree represents the morality of society, and the lumberjack represents corruption and greed slowly chipping away and killing everything good about society.

It represents the dichotomy between man, beast and nature. We’re causing this planet tremendous damage, including environmental deterioration, global warming, desertification, resource exhaustion and constant extinction of various species. In the long run, it will become impossible for our descendants to live here. The cruel reality of an Earth which will no longer accommodate human beings will eventually manifest itself.

Yes… yes… continue to deeply analyse the picture.
