Moparscape 3.2 w/ Aryan crashes after 2 seconds

I am in need of help with running Moparscape 3.2 w/ Aryan.

It starts to load and then 2 seconds later it stops and there are no errors to point me to a reason.

I am running latest Java 1.8.0_73 64 bit on a Win7 laptop.

I have looked through several places but have not found any answers. I moved the install point to C:\Moparscape, I tried uninstalling JAVA and reinstalling. I have tried using an older Java version 6, but nothing seems to change the outcome.

I really would like to use this but don’t know what is causing this.

Any assistance would be great!

Basically my problem: https://www.moparisthebest.com/smf/index.php/topic,673856.0.html

I’ll be watching this thread too now. Hopefully someone comes and helps out.

I have also sent a message to the owner to see if they have any ideas.
I know it is not an issue with 64 bit OS vs 32 bit. I tried installing on a 32 bit and same issue.
Possibly a Win7 issue, but I have no XP to try install on. Can’t imagine why that would be a problem, since it is JAVA based. But time will tell.

Windows 10 Home here.

Here is the error that hellhawk4ever had. I assume it’s same problem as OP. Someone must know what it is? I thought maybe issue with classpath but his seemed correct to me.

I am actually not getting any errors, unless I am missing a log fine or something.
I click on the Moparscape icon on my desktop (as well as both the bat file and moparscape.jar file in the install directory (c:\Moparscape) and the client comes up and starts to load (loading bar starts to load something)… then it just goes back to the desktop showing nothing at all. I have tried starting it several times and nothing happens.

I have run with Java 8u73 and 6u45 but neither seem to make a difference. I have tried on a 32bit and 64bit OS Win7, still no change. Reinstalled both versions of Java … You get the idea. I am just wondering if this is just me or if there is some other requirement for running this that I am missing.

I have sent a PM to Moparisthebest and received no reply as of yet.

Check C:.mpr_file_store_32 for an error log txt file.

Thanks. Here is my error log:

SOLVED!!!

tl;dr:
It’s missing the cache files and the auto loader won’t fetch it.

[ol][li]Download here: http://www.moparisthebest.com/cache/cache.zip
[/li][li]Extract the contents of the zip in its entirety to the following directory: C:.mpr_file_store_32 (Accept any overwrites)
[/li][li]Start the game with either the .jar or .bat
[/li][/ol]

Long version:

I decided to use GeForces built-in ShadowPlay, which captures the last 5 minutes of desktop activity. I opened the recording in VLC media player and went frame by frame the second or two that the client was open to view the write output command prompt of the client. It looked to me that it was attempting to load a cache.zip file from a location on the net, and that’s where the client terminated. So, I searched “cache” in the Moparscape download megathread. Sure enough, others were having the same issue, and I also came across the download link for the cache. After downloading the zip, I extracted the contents to the mpr file storage location, and sure enough it worked.

Please share this with anyone trying to play moparscape from now on!

Thanks for tracking down the problem hellhawk4ever, I think it was due to the http -> https redirects, so I’ve turned those off, maybe delete that folder and try again and it’ll hopefully just work.

Let me know, thanks!
