MoparWiki

[quote=“ruler, post:13, topic:137697”]We already have a cheating wiki.

meh, I think a p-server wiki is needed. tbh i can’t find what i need on the forums.

I started a p-server wiki but my knowledge on the subject limited it severly.

You mean you have a wiki, doesn’t mean that mopar shouldn’t make one

i guess ill jump on the bandwagon and take apart in the moparscape wiki, i also have afew cache things i could share with moparisthebest wiki.

Its not my wiki.

I just like a unified approach to wiki’s.

1 for cheating
1 for p-servers

p-servers are very different then cheating

makes sense to me.

Solarwind owns impwiki hosting + domain

so what

when i was a member of kaitnieks, i only ever released stuff there
the same has followed for this forum, i am sure some others might feel the same way

Maybe it could be a good idea to put the black book of cheating on there? People could then add to it as well.

The black book is an out of date mess. If you want a useful guide to cheating, you’d be better off starting from scratch - or at least from some other document.

I made a page, I really don’t know where to start as far as that goes if someone wants to start it up be my guest

OK, well its only us who can access the wiki atm no?
Add the black book how it is, and then we can all edit it to make it readable. Then protect the document and only allow certain people to edit it

Lol, Nick’s Autominer. That guy was annoying.

so uuh

after viewing the wiki then having a rage, i decided that i will help out

how much of the client should be documented? i was thinking about the classes and protocols (and if someone were able to actually document the cache files in a manner that actually makes sense), but since reverse engineering is an infringement of copyright, and we know how honest we all are…

also, for documenting data formats (packets, files etc) i propose using a C struct-like notation, purely because it looks good and is easy to understand

aaaaaaaand, i dont know anything about wikis (yet), but i will look into making a class/packet template, unless someone else wants to

yar does anyone have a list of the wiki commands such as ‘’’ ‘’’ being bold

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Cheatsheet for editing

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Contents for everything

are parser functions borked or something, cos ive been trying for an hour and i honestly dont think im stupid enough to have not made any progress :DDD

hmmm is their like addons or something for wiki’s im not sure what exactly it is what im looking for but example would be the packet info on this link here http://rscd.eggsampler.com/wiki/?title=Server_Ignore_List personally i think that looks really sharp.

yea, templates, i was making one… but parser functions seem to be non-existent

I’ve still got it
I also seem to have a program to decrypt its saved passwords in the registry - must have gotten bored.

I reckon we should make a wiki that’s not any community based. Aka no ‘ImpWiki’ or Moparwiki or w.e.

well, i really believe that it would be up to the community to maintain the wiki

if you look at impwiki, there is very little information on client internals, and most of that is misleading, it appears as the whole point of the wiki is to advertise various bots.

MOPAR WHAT TEH FUX IS GOING ON WITH PARSER FUNCTIONS

I hardly think anyone that reads a wiki is going to buy a bot… I believe they are going to be a contributor.
