And a few renders with materials whacked on quickly, obviously I’ve got some issues with smoothing on the bed, and some light leakage from the skirtings, where the roof merges needs work, and the windows were a 2 minute job, but here:

Some more, additions:
And sorted out some issues with light leaking.
Can you plug the TV in?
It’s on the way don’t worry need to get my dual monitors in and then it’ll look less like just furniture

Ahh okay, it looks really nice though. Is the floor 3d at all or is that just the texture?

It’s all one face there’s a bump map which makes it appear a little more 3d.
Ah, okay. It looks really good! Shadows look a bit too… soft (is diffused the right word?)
do you not have a light/ceiling fan, or has it just not been added?
really hating the angels/how the proportions are so off. but i know you’re modeling after the room.
i’d probably kill myself living in it with ocd and whatnot. but you’re a really good modeler.
now model yourself, laying in the bed.
It looks quite good. What Global Illumination are you using, if any? If you’re not, try Radiosity or Photon Mapping.

Roof lights are on their way yes
Irradiance map and light cache I think. The renders are only test renders at the moment, hence the noise and low resolution, once the final layout is decided and I’ve modelled all the objects I’ll turn up the settings and have some proper renders
TV got plugged in, added tall set of drawers and a light fitting, bed is next:
Looks great mate, good job as always.
Cheers James.
Making a keyboard now, taking the piddle moving all the keys -.- should look quality when done though.
Coming along nicely
you’remissingyourspacebartoo?
That keyboard as it is wouldn’t look out of place in a futuristic game like Portal or something. It’s very sleek, I like it.
Coming along nicely, good work.
If only we got that sun here in the UK, Charlie.
Might want to put the bedroom under about a foot of water too since you’re down that way
While the wood looks realistic… could you do something darker? Like a pine maybe? The whole room just appears so bland… the contrast would really make everything pop.
That was my intention, the furniture is from Ikea and I used the exact same textures provided on their website, for example the drawers should look like this:

Using this texture:

I don’t know whether it’s the lighting or something, but that’s what it should look like
And to be honest I disagree, I don’t think the wood looks realistic, it looks more like MDF at the moment
