If people really don’t take into consideration rep, then it is better off not existing. Pretty stupid to implement a function if it’s just going to get abused and disregarded.
Which is why Sini’s idea is the best. If you’re repping someone you’re doing it because you like them and what they are doing on the forum, none of this clique bullshit where everyone doesn’t like you and decides to de-rep the shit out of you just because they don’t like you. Having negative rep is a bad idea.

But yes, we need a better system in place. It was far too easy to get 200 rep because most people that were giving it out were giving it for stupid reasons or rep 4 rep. I like the idea of a single rep point per person, we would also have a 7 days cool down between reps meaning it would take a shit load of time to gain a large amount from a single person. I also don’t like the idea of derepping as you can tell in the past some of us would gang up on others and were able to drop people down to low - 0 rep.
