He has a point, we need a system to signify reputation, more so from a private server oriented perspective. This would allow newer users to know who they’re dealing with, to know that they know what they’re doing. While a free, rep whoever you want system wouldn’t work at all because of abuse that occurred in past time, something similar might work. As I think I remember seeing up above, R-S is decent with how they do it, the “Thanks” button would be a good addition, in my opinion. In general, taking from that idea, I think we need a system that other users can rate others based on how much they helped them.

tl;dr: I think we need a system that other users can rate others based on how much they helped them, per thread or something, not just a button on the profile that everyone will abuse to hell. The thanks system works well because there is no “rep–”, essentially.
