rep was abused so badly that one could release a couple snippets and a shitty ass WL server and get 200 rep like nothing. One could also troll the forum and get 200 rep.

last time we didn’t have a limit if I recall correctly and silabsoft ended with well over 890 rep.

Instead of creating a reasonable system where rep actually means something, lets just use the old system and change the max to 5k. Best solution ever.

just remove the limit, if it means nothing theres no reason not to have it for those that enjoy it.
You can’t have a meaningful “rep” or thanks type system because no one loses something by doing it, the dogecoin suggestion was probably the best for meaning but its shaft in actuality, I wouldnt do it out of principle for example

I already dislike PHP enough as it is, but I’m open to working with it from time to time using frameworks like codeigniter and laravel. Not so keen on pulling the rest of my hair out dealing with SMFs code.
