Is anyone updating this? Any plans? What needs to be done to improve it? Maybe we could have a to-do list, and people can work on it over time.

People have been reversing changes and fucking about with it for quite a while now, I think some of the wiki staff were at it too if I remember rightly.

I went over most of the 317 stuff, added some of the 377 stuff (as per t4’s documentation - which I have lost now LOL). There’s lots to do for all kinds of revisions.

I think we should approach it methodically, ie. start from 194 then document every popular revision sequentially, so we can apply prior knowledge along the way (thus making each progressive step easier).

Limiting commits from idiots would also help filter out incorrect information.

if t4 knew his password he could make you an admin.[/quote]Don’t need no permissions to contribute though and everybody should realize the only reward you get out of this is better documentation which helps EVERYBODY. It would help if people also don’t update data using broken byte-buffer classes (which incorrectly specify data types).

edit: A post on the network transfer (explaining it thoroughly for the newbies) would be nice I suppose, but whoever posts it will get flamed for “repeating what we all already know”.
edit2: So many spammers lol.
edit3: And faggots making packet packages lacking the actual parameters, opcode and length of the packet. ie useless pages…

Good news I have cleaned up the spammers!

I know it has been suggested before and no one ever really did anything about it. But some ask for an easier layout for the information, if anyone has some suggestions as to how they would like to see the information laid out please don’t hesitate to PM me or just post on this topic.

Hopefully I’ll find time to contribute soon. It’s a moving target, but that’s what a wiki always is. I’ve been working on RS3 documentation anyway, so maybe that can be started. I would like to start an open-source/crowd-effort, maybe using Github or Asana, if anyone is interested.

You need to be more proactive than creating a couple of tutorials, we need leaders not fuck boys

I have my own Git repo with a much higher quality client than yours, why would I use yours? We do, after all, need leaders - maybe you should try it!
