With Quick-Reply you can write a post when viewing a topic without loading a new page. You can still use bulletin board code and smileys as you would in a normal post.

When I joined the moderation team, we didn’t have a fancy schmancy ban system. We had forum-breaking bans that resulted in 10 minute outages.
One ban every 10 minutes for the whole team. And we had to share the ban.

The moderators today are very lucky.

The moderators today are very lucky.[/quote]That actually was still around when I became mod. You’d press ban and then your next page would be loading for 5 minutes before you could do anything else.

Well in this case it actually crashed the forum for EVERYONE

and at its worst, I think it was even 30 minutes+

im my day we just purged entire sections as mod. Now the mods only delete topics by drub.
