I’d think that this is generally true about things other than Apple, but in the case of people that buy apple products, I’d say the small percentage would be those who AREN’T Apple fanboys.

I’d also say that was true… before the iPhone and iPods came out. Before that, it was the fanboys that would follow the Apple products. But it was the iPhone and iPods that broke them back into the mainstream and have all sorts of people buying them, not even knowing they make computers.

I know a load of people with iPhones, but only two of them I’d class as fanboys. Others will sit there and gladly criticise the phone, and swear they’ll never buy any sort of Mac citing the usual reasons such as price.

It is such a mainstream device that even if there are a higher number of fanboys for it than other phones, they are massively outnumbered by others.

iPhone 3g - wish I had a 3gs at least though, so I could use multitasking as long as have a video camera and a couple other features. But other than that, it’s a great phone.

I’m looking into getting an Android phone, but anything remotely decent is on contract. I’ve looked at a few places but nothing really peaks my interest. Anyone on here have an older one they would be willing to part with?

Have you tried ebay or craigslist? That is where I get good, recentish phones without a contract.
