Actually, I feel that this is the single most redeeming thing about this community as a whole.
Despite the illegitimate raison d’être the people here have always been quite cool.

Oh, and I got my start here as a programmer, so there’s that. Check out my earliest posts if you want a throwback to my very own amateur hour (and by amateur hour I really mean amateur year). Ultimately it was this site that led me to ‘making it’ as far as becoming a professional software developer goes.
